
Full course description
Spray Fundamentals is a self-paced, online course developed by Clemson Extension. This course has been created for anyone with a license to apply pesticides who wants to build upon their knowledge and improve their application techniques. In this course, participants will be provided with an in depth look at the techniques, equipment, complexities, and importance of proper pesticide applications. This course is a fully online and asynchronous. Participants will work through the course content at their own pace and will be given 60 days to complete the course once registered. Participants who successfully complete this course will have the opportunity to earn 3 credits towards their pesticide license.
By the end of this course, participants will gain the knowledge and skills to be able to:
1. Determine the best course of action to improve the efficacy of pesticide application
2. Identify the correct PPE for use and practice pesticide safety procedures
3. Describe ways to improve economic efficiency when calibrating sprayers and applying pesticides
4. Practice responsible pesticide application techniques to promote environmental stewardship
